"It was probably nothing, but it felt like the world"

-Morrissey, Autobiography (p. 141)

Natasha Curato grew up in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria (Australia) where she currently lives + works. With an initial (an ongoing) interest in analogue photography and processes, she studied at the Photographic Imaging College after leaving high-school - graduating with a diploma in photo-imaging in 2011.

Since then she has toured + worked for Australian musician Kate Ceberano, chronicling her National Tour 'Kensal Road' in 2013.

Her personal work gravitates towards portraiture and documentary, with an aim to present beauty in it's purest and most natural form. She tends to focus on specific people, places and moments in an effort to document feelings that aren't easily defined or small things that are commonly missed.

She draws inspiration from old family photos, her music collection, long road trips, nostalgia, dreams, and especially her family + friends (because they're brilliant)
